This post is to inform residents that as of 6:30 pm Fire FS 016 began to crest the hill above Fort Simpson Island. Wildland Urban interface crews are patrolling constantly looking for spot fires. When we know more info about the fire position and status, we will post an update. In the meantime, residents are urged to continue to shelter in place and give way to emergency vehicles operating in the area.
