July 13, 2026. | 5PM – Community Fire Update

Attention Residents Of Fort Simpson:

Hard work continues here in Fort Simpson. The fire containment is nearing halfway complete and the effort of the fire crews has been phenomenal. While things are slowly getting better, we have not been given the all-clear.

As the week goes on there will be essential service workers moving in and out of the community as needed, maintaining and preparing the critical infrastructure you will require when you come home. If you are one of these essential service workers, your employer will contact you with the details on when you will be coming back.

We appreciate your continued patience in this difficult time, and ask that you bear with us for a little longer. It has been slow, but progress is being made bit by bit.
