Help the Village of Fort Simpson plan for the future of the community!
The Village will soon begin updating its General Plan and Zoning By-law to plan for community growth to 2040, and wants input from residents. Land use planning manages land and resources, and organizes facilities and services that impact the community, the economy, and the environment. Discussion topics include: natural resources, housing, transportation, environmental protection, community services, heritage resources, and infrastructure.
The planning process involves land users, community members and leaders, local Indigenous groups, professional planners, and decision-makers. It represents the public’s interests and prepares for the future.
There will be several opportunities to provide feedback on these important issues throughout the process. Get involved and share your ideas!
