FSFD

September 2023

The Fort Simpson Fire and Ambulance Department is comprised of twenty volunteer members. They provide Fire service in the community, as well as Ambulance and Rescue services to the Village and the surrounding area. The Department is administered by the Director of Protective Services for the Village of Fort Simpson, and the Officers of the Department.

All members serve on a volunteer basis and are not directly compensated monetarily. Members receive various other benefits such as department branded clothing, a private fitness area, and social events.

The members meet every Wednesday for training and at various other times for supplemental training sessions, mentorship meetings, and weekend courses.

Last year we celebrated the 60th anniversary of the FSFD. Thank you to all past, present, and future members for their service!
