The evacuation order for the Village of Fort Simpson remains in effect. All residents who remain in town must evacuate as soon as possible. Only essential workers should remain in the community.
Current Updates:
• Road evacuations are continuing.
• The ferry is operating 24 hours a day to support evacuations.
• Highway 7 remains closed.
• There are no additional evacuation flights available at this time.
• The Fire Department and RCMP will be conducting a sweep of the community this morning to ensure all residents have evacuated.
• Structure protection operations remain ongoing in the Wildrose area.
Evacuation Information:
• The Reception Centre remains open at the Yellowknife Multiplex. Reception staff will be there to welcome you and provide guidance upon your arrival.
• For residents who are still in Fort Simpson, the Recreation Centre remains open as the registration centre and primary point of contact.

Please note that no community resources or support services will remain available for residents who choose to stay behind.
